The Procedure

The implant is placed with great care using local analgesia. Sedation techniques are also available.

It usually takes several months for complete “osseointegration” of the implant to occur, after which the final restoration (crown, bridge or denture) is attached.

In this way it is possible to “reconstruct” teeth so that the whole mouth functions well and looks pleasing and natural.

Temporary Teeth
Whilst the implants "osseointegrate", a temporary replacement is necessary so that patients are never left without teeth.

Same Day Teeth?
If bone quality is good, a temporary crown or bridge can be attached directly onto the implant(s) on the same day. If the quality is less good, a temporary bridge can be attached to neighbouring teeth or a removable denture made.
