Martin Gough qualified from Kings College Hospital in December 1985. Following hospital positions in Maxillofacial surgery and Prosthodontics and a short period in general practice he went to the Eastman Dental Institute, University of London in 1988. There he completed his Masters programme in Prosthodontics combined with a Registrar position over a 2 year period. Immediately on completion of the programme he became a Lecturer in the department. He was made a Dental Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1991. Subsequently he became a Senior Lecturer in the Department and later became the Director of the Implant Programme at the Eastman International Centre. Martin Gough is an Honorary Consultant & Senior Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry and is recognised by the General Dental Council as a specialist in both Prosthodontics and Restorative Dentistry.
Martin started his specialist practice at 19 Wimpole Street in 1999 after moving from 1 Harley Street. He continues to combine private practice with part time Post Graduate teaching and lectures widely. He is involved with the training of specialists and postgraduates in surgical implant placement and restorative dentistry. He has published in refereed journals and is the co author of a popular Implant text book.
Martin has 25 years experience in both surgical placement and restorative aspects of dental implants as an integral part of restorative treatment. At his practice in Central London he sees patients requiring Implants and advanced Restorative and Aesthetic treatments.
